Filmmaker Karan Johar's family entertainer 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, was off to a good start at the box office with an opening day collection of an estimated Rs 11.10 crore. The film managed to achieve this feat despite getting leaked online within hours of its release.
According to reports, 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani' which marks Karan Johar's return to the director's seat, fell prey to piracy as HD prints of the film were made available on piracy websites.
According to reports, the film was being circulated on as many as 7 websites in various resolutions, including 1080p and 720p.
Besides the Bollywood film, the Telugu film 'Bro' starring superstar Pawan Kalyan and Sai Tej Dharam in the lead roles, was also available for free download. It was reported that the film was available in all formats, from HD to 240p, making it easily accessible to those seeking illegal copies.
